Starting tonight, the 24th annual Art Miami will begin, starting with the exclusive Opening Night VIP Preview. Last year, about 11,000 of the top names in the art world came from all corners to celebrate Art Miami’s opening night. Roughly 60,000 people came out throughout the week to purchase, view, and showcase some of the best pieces of modern and contemporary art in the world done by some of the most well known artists. Approximately 125 galleries from around the world participate in this stunning display of extraordinary and varied artwork. Art Miami has gained acclaim for unmatched presentation and the experience to be had during this premier event.
Context and Aqua Art Miami
Joining Art Miami this year will be Context and Aqua Art Miami. Context is the sister fair to Art Miami, showcasing artists that are up and coming or new on the scene. This fair is meant to bring the next generation of artists together with collectors and gallery owners from around the world. Now in its second year, Context will take place in a 45,000 square foot pavilion that is easily accessible to those attending Art Miami.
Aqua Art Miami will be joining Art Miami for the first time this year, although this will be the ninth fair held by Aqua. Aqua has been renowned for its international art programs and for the emerging talent that has been discovered through Aqua’s support of both well established and rising galleries. Aqua’s fairs have come to be known for the laid back atmosphere and venue. Aqua Art Miami will also be held in close proximity to Art Miami. The fairs are expected to attract large crowds, and many other events will be held in Miami next week to entertain and delight fairgoers.
